Kalbarri

Kalbarri NP has a distinct outback feel with its river red gums, red dirt, river gorges and sheer vastness.

The walks were stunning; however, the kids thought we were torturing them when we set off for an 8km walk and when it rained they were distinctly unimpressed. Enlarge the above photo to see some wet Caffery kids not enjoying Nature's Window.

Kalbarri has two parts; the river gorges and the coastal cliffs. The cliff's walk was unbelievably windy. We camped on the beach side of the park at a place Wagoe Beach Chalets and Camping. The name of the campsite is perhaps a little overstated - a paddock with a donga toilet and shower that hasn't enjoyed a clean in a very long time!
